At Tunnel Hill Mushrooms we don't just produce some of Tasmania's best gourmet mushrooms, we also host a variety of events at the historic railway site.

Guided Tours throughout our facilites teach you the 'ins and outs' of the industry, providing opportunities to cook and eat fresh mushrooms, and letting you get your hands dirty.

Long Table Dining is an exclusive event held in the historic railway tunnel, featuring a bespoke menu prepared by a renowned chef, providing an unforgettable experince.

Winter fungi harvest and eat tour

Learn the production process of Tunnel Hill Mushrooms from start to finish, starting from in-lab and ending in the tunnel. Discover how to harvest mushrooms, prepare mushrooms for cooking and sample the mushrooms cooked on our one-of-a-kind ‘train BBQ’. For an extra $30, enjoy a mushroom workshop and take your own mushroom grow log home with you. Unearth the history of the old railway tunnel where we produce mushrooms. This 2–3 hour experience hosts a maximum of 12 guests.

Long Table Dining Experience

Immersive. rare. unforgettable

Taking place inside the historic railway tunnel, award-winning chef Paul Foreman will be preparing a bespoke menu for a long table dining experience. Additionally, a drinks package featuring iconic Tasmanian brands is provided as part of the standard admission.

This event is scheduled as a long lunch (1 - 4pm) for the 3rd of May 2026, with limited slots available.
